Title:  Hidden Depths

Series:  Hidden Series - Book 1

Author:  Aubrianna Hunter

Genre:  Contemporary Erotic Romance

Number of pages:  236

Book Description: She is pierced, dyed and tattooed born on the wrong side of the tracks. He is a traditional white knight born of the proverbial silver spoon. Their meeting was an accident, the fact that they became even the most tentative of friends, an anomaly. The only real thing they had in common... chemistry. Lots of chemistry. Unfortunately, that wasn't enough and Gia knew it. Now, if only she could convince her body...

Josh had always walked the line, lived the life he was expected to live. He had, by all accounts, the perfect life; a corporate lawyer, a beautiful home, a family empire to run, and the perfect fiancee. He was well on his way. The only question he had... was that really where he wanted to go? Plagued by dreams, Josh fought all his natural instincts, denying not only what he truly wanted but who he was deep down inside. Until one crazy night when he gave in to his desires...

Could these two polar opposites have more in common than even they realize?

About the Author
I am often asked; who is Aubrianna Hunter? And the truth is the answer isn't a simple one. Beyond being a dedicated wife and mother, I was raised by a Marine, and married into the Navy.

Needless to say I can go toe to toe with the most sarcastic people you have met, and can dish insults and curse with the best of them. I blurt wildly inappropriate things at precisely the moment when the room goes quiet, so much so that my co-author has nicknamed me Ted... Yes... After the bear in the movie.

Recently my husband has replaced calling me crazy with calling me "Creative", but the tone he uses to do it makes me question his sincerity. Though honestly, crazy is probably closer to reality. I like my hectic life, in fact I thrive in the chaos and would have it no other way.

They say opposites attract. That is definitely the case with Josh and Gia. Both main characters were great. Josh had it all – great job, beautiful home, and a wonderful fiance – he was living the dream. The only problem is that it was someone else's dream. He fantasized about letting loose and being free until he could not hide it anymore. Gia…well I loved Gia. She is not afraid to speak her mind and does not care what others think of her. She has a bit of a wild side and knows how to have fun. I love that the female is the wild one in this story; usually we are reading about pierced and tattooed guys, so Gia was a fun change.

The chemistry between Josh and Gia is sweltering. From the very first page the scenes between the two of them, even if they are just talking and flirting, are steamy hot. I also loved the emotion brought out through the story. I am glad I had the opportunity to read this book!

Q & A with Aubrianna Hunter

Q:  Tell us a little bit about your main characters, Gia and Josh.
A:  Gia is probably my all time favorite female character that I've written. I love her, I loved writing her. She is fun, sarcastic, witty, with a biting kind of humor. Yet underneath she is brutally honest, loyal, and full of self doubt and insecurity. It made her a delight to work with.

Josh was just as much fun. He is so repressed, keeping everything bottled up for so long, you just knew he was going to boil over at any moment. I loved getting into his head while he was beating up the heavy bag in his basement.

Q:  What was your favorite scene to write?
A:  Okay, that was a tossup... Of course, one of my favorites was the spanking scene. That was absolutely wonderful to put to paper. However, I also really liked the entire river scene... starting with Josh and Gia fighting and ending with the group around the fire pit. I really enjoyed that one.

Q:  How would you describe your writing style?
A:  I have a style? LOL...

Okay, in all seriousness, my style is what I would call casual and conversational. I write pretty much the way I speak. I want my books to be an easy read; enjoyable, fun, not mentally taxing. I want everyone to be able to read the words while letting their minds wander enough to really get into the mind of the character, to feel what they feel.

Q:  What do you see as influences on your writing?
A:  My mood and the quantity of caffeine I have had. Honestly, I love Kresley Cole, her humor and wit in her stories were an encouragement to me... to simply write the way I think. On a more personal level, when I am feeling bogged or less than creative, and good conversation with a friend, some snarky back and forth, usually gets my brain going again.

Oh, and I wasn't kidding about the caffeine... I have a mild coffee addiction.

Q:  If you could be any character from Hidden Depths, who would you be and why?
A:  Gia.... no questions asked! She gets to say all the sarcastic things I think, the ones that society makes you keep to yourself! She is just so incredibly out there, so incredibly her! I love it. And, I love her wardrobe... I have to admit, I kind of wrote that just for me. LOL.

Q:  What is on your iPod while you write?
A:  Depends entirely on my mood. My taste in music is rather eclectic. I love everything from Jazz, to classic rock, a lot of music from my parents era, Woodstock. I like country, the more modern rock version, the nineties heavy metal and hair bands. I even like some Celtic music.

Q:  What do you do to unwind and relax?
A:  Yoga and meditation have really become almost a necessary part of my life. Although, the first thing to get set aside is usually meditation. If I am really keyed up, I will get on the treadmill or do another type of work out to burn some excess energy. For fun, I love little stuff, like getting together with the neighbors for a barbeque or game night and a glass of wine.

Q:  What book are you reading now?
A:  Actually, the Mortal Instruments series. I had read books one through three a few years ago, but I am re-reading the whole series including books four and five. I really enjoyed that series the first time and I like it even better now. I also have a long list of to-be-reads for friends and other authors that I am working on.
