Ethereal Influence: The Inquisition by Lana Bradstream

Ethereal Influence: The Inquisition (Ethereal Influence, #2)Ethereal Influence: The Inquisition by Lana Bradstream
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ethereal Influence: The Inquisition is a book about faith and the struggles to keep it during trying times. The Inquisition was a horrible time in history where the church, under the guise of doing God's work, tortured and killed people that were accused of witchcraft.

Inquisitor Nikolaus is questioning his faith and his role in the church. He worries that many of the condemned are innocent. Is this truly God's work or the work of man? Lorenz is an angel sent to help Nikolaus and others struggling with their faith turn back to God. Jakob, a fallen angel, is here to turn as many as he can away from God. The battle lines are drawn. Who will be victorious?

The author did a great job with character development. Nikolaus, like many of us, struggles with his faith. Faith is a daily walk, a decision that we make. While I enjoyed this story, at times the details of the Inquisition were too graphic for me. Despite that, I would recommend it.
